What happened this weekend ?

The fly in started on friday.. Unfortunatly, thunderstorms were observed in the vicinity of Schaffen so many pilots decided not to come to Schaffen today. 

Saturday, the weather was sunny. Blue sky in the morning and around 11 o' clock, the first cumulus appears above Schaffen. Around noon we have 25 deg and alot of traffic at our airfield. Not only airplanes but also a lot of oldtimer cars visited the airfield.  

Sunday started very cloudy. Many pilots decide to leave Schaffen early. Around 11 AM, it starts to rain
Unfortunatly, there are no more arrivals due to the bad weather.

Hopefully the weather in 2011 will be perfect so many pilots will visit Schaffen again.
